In honor of National Disability Employment Awareness Month, Wells Fargo & Company (NYSE: WFC) has committed $1 million over the next four years to Scholarship America to implement a special scholarship program to help people with disabilities obtain the education or training necessary to succeed in the career path of their choice.

This program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation's largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, age, gender, disability, or national origin.

Scholarship America is managing the following scholarship:

AXA Achievement Scholarship

Deadline: December 14, 2018 or when 10,000 applications have been received, whichever comes first

Application Area: All 50 U.S. states, Washington, DC and Peurto Rico

 

The AXA Achievement Scholarship offers college scholarships of $2,500, $10,000 and $25,000 to high school seniors who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in their activities in school, the community or the workplace. For every student who wins a scholarship, a grant in the amount of $1,000 will be made to the winner's school.

The 2019 program will be accepting applications until December 14, 2018 or 10,000 applications are submitted, whichever comes first. Your application MUST be one of the first 10,000 completed and submitted electronically by the deadline date. For more information and to apply, click here.

South Arts is offering Southern Prize and State Fellowships for

the 2018-2019 school year.

 

South Arts State Fellowships: $5,000.00

The South Arts State Fellowship is a state-specific prize awarded to artists whose work reflects the best of the visual arts in the South. A national jury will select one winner per eligible state, with artistic excellence being the sole criterion. State Fellowship recipients will be required to attend the awards ceremony on April 15, 2019 in Columbia, SC.

 

South Arts Southern Prizes: $10,000.00 and $25,000.00

Nine State Fellowship recipients will compete for the South Arts Southern Prize. Prizes will be awarded to artists whose work exhibits the highest artistic excellence. The Southern Prize winner will also receive a two-week residency at The Hambridge Center for the Creative Arts and Sciences.

Jefferson Dollars for Scholars is now accepting college scholarship applications for the High School Class of 2019. 
 
If you plan to apply for a Jefferson Dollars for Scholars scholarship, you must complete our online application. Please note this application is only available online and can be found after you complete your student profile here!

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS for eligibility:
 
1. Graduating from a Jefferson Parish Public School or a Jefferson Parish resident graduating from the LA School for Math, Science and the Arts (exception: Tulane Legislative Scholarships are available to all students in the districts of the legislators who have asked us to select their recipients! This includes continuing Tulane students.)
 
2. A minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0
 
3. A minimum ACT composite score of 20
 
 
4. A complete ONLINE application including Counselor's evaluation with ATTACHED transcript
A. Parents' Financial information
B. Student Profile at 100% completion
C. Completed recommendation(s)
D. Custom questions regarding 1st, 2nd, and 3rd choice colleges
E. "Submit" button grayed out on your Jefferson Dollars for Scholars Chapter's Scholarship
 
5. Graduating from high school December 2018 - August 2019
